Learn how to make a delicious cup of coffee with warm milk, using an espresso coffee maker and milk frother.   For this recipe, I will be using a 6-cup espresso coffee maker.

  • 1 cup or 1¼ cups of cold whole milk
  • 2 teaspoons of sugar or to taste
  • 16 teaspoons espresso ground coffee
  • Sufficient water to fill bottom chamber of espresso coffee maker

  1. Pour water into lower chamber below the valve
  2. Insert filter basket and fill with espresso ground coffee, approximately 10 teaspoons.  Level ground coffee with back of a spoon without applying pressure.
  3. Remove any ground coffee around the rim of filter basket.  Screw tightly upper chamber and close lid.
  4. Place espresso coffee maker on small burner.  Turn on stove and make sure the flames do not exceed the base of espresso maker.
  5. Heat until the espresso coffee fills the upper chamber.  Turn off stove.
  6. Insert cappuccino disc inside milk jug and pour milk between minimum and maximum markings.
  7. Turn temperature dial (Start/Stop button) within the Optimum Milk Temp range.
  8. Press Start/Stop button to start the frothing process.   When frothing is complete, you will hear an alert sound.  Wait until the unit automatically shuts off.
  9.  Remove milk jug with lid and place on a trivet.
  10. Add sugar into cups and evenly pour the espresso coffee.
  11. Warm milk is added to both cups, according to your liking.
  12. Scoop milk foam if you want to prepare a cup of cappuccino.
