Description
Ginger tea is such a soothing beverage with a spicy taste especially during the winter months. You can also enjoy this hot beverage with a teaspoon of honey, lemon or cinnamon sticks to add more flavor.

Ingredients
- 8 to 10 cups water
- ginger, 4 to 5 ounces, peeled and cut into ¼-inch slices.
Instructions
- Pour 10 cups of water into a 3-quart saucepan.
- Add sliced ginger and boil for 3 minutes.
- Reduce heat to simmer and cover saucepan with lid.
- Simmer for 30 minutes.
- Remove the ginger slices.
- Pour ginger tea into individual cups or into a large pitcher.
- Let cool and place in the refrigerator for future use.
Notes
When you refrigerate the tea, microwave for approximately 1 to 2 minutes before serving.
