Ginger Tea (Té de Jengibre)

Description

Ginger tea is such a soothing beverage with a spicy taste especially during the winter months.  You can also enjoy this hot beverage with a teaspoon of honey, lemon or cinnamon sticks to add more flavor.

Ingredients

  • 8 to 10 cups water
  • ginger, 4 to 5 ounces, peeled and cut into ¼-inch slices.

Instructions

  1. Pour 10 cups of water into a 3-quart saucepan.
  2. Add sliced ginger and boil for 3 minutes.
  3. Reduce heat to simmer and cover saucepan with lid.
  4. Simmer for 30 minutes.
  5. Remove the ginger slices.
  6. Pour ginger tea into individual cups or into a large pitcher.
  7. Let cool and place in the refrigerator for future use.

Notes

When you refrigerate the tea, microwave for approximately 1 to 2 minutes before serving.
