Description

Our coconut flavored eggnog (known as Coquito) is a delicious cream-based alcoholic beverage that is served during the Christmas Holidays.

Ingredients

Recipe for Coconut Eggnog

  • 4 eggs yolk
  • 1½ cups white Puerto Rican rum or to taste
  • 2 cans (15 ounces each can) cream of coconut
  • 2 cans (12 ounces each can) evaporated milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. In an electric blend, add the egg yolks and white rum.
  2. Blend for 10 to 15 seconds.
  3. Add the remaining ingredients and blend for 20 to 30 seconds or until all the ingredients are well blended and a creamy texture is formed.
  4. Pour in air-tight containers and place in the refrigerator for at least 2 days to allow the flavors to develop fully.
  5. Serve in small drinking glasses and sprinkle with ground nutmeg on top if you so desire.
  6. Maintain coconut eggnog in refrigerator and use within 7 days.
