Special Blend of Seasonings

(Una Combinación Especial de Condimentos)

This seasoning envelope with coriander and annatto is a special blend of different seasonings (herbs and spices).   Its main purpose is to add color and flavor to our tropical dishes.  Furthermore, today you can purchase the seasoning envelopes at most supermarkets.  I purchase the Goya brand but you purchase the brand of your preference.

However, if your nearby supermarket does not carry the seasoning envelopes, we have you covered!

You can create your own blend of seasonings by mixing the following ingredients in a bowl:

  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt (low sodium)
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground cumin
  • 4 teaspoons paprika

When a recipe calls for one (1) seasoning envelope, add 1¼ teaspoons of the mixed ingredients to your dish.
